Our company representative, Teshigawara
again this year took part in the traditional bean-throwing ceremony at the local Nukizen Shrine in Tomioka-shi, Gunma.
Many people came and everyone picked up some good fortune.
In the afternoon, we had the opportunity to experience tea ceremony, making it a day where we were able to experience Japanese traditions.
We would like to continue growing every day with the spirit of learning from the past for the future.

At EIKOH SEISAKUSYO, all of our staff put eyes on the Daruma dolls every year!
Our company is located in Gunma Prefecture, which is home to Shorinzan Daruma Temple, known as the temple where the lucky daruma doll originated, and daruma dolls are very familiar to the people of the prefecture.
Putting everyone's thoughts into the Daruma...

Thank you all so much for your continued support in 2023.
Before I knew it, it was already the end of the year.
It feels like time passes faster every year.
This year has seen many events for EIKOH SEISAKUSYO, and we would like to thank our business partners and other related parties for their support at each event.
I would like to mention two particularly significant events.
(1) The passing of our founder, Chairman Teshigawara Katsuo
⑵ Successor candidate, Masaya Teshigawara, returns to his hometown and joins the company
We believe that the above incident was an event in the history of EIKOH SEISAKUSYO that particularly evoked a "generational change."
EIKOH SEISAKUSYO was established by our former President, Katsuo, and has been run by our current President, Satoru, the 2nd generaton, with the help of everyone. The 3rd generation will further polish the company, and the baton will be passed on to the 4th and 5th generations. We will continue to value the daily efforts and activities to achieve our goal of becoming a 100-year-old company.
Once again, thank you very much for your continued support in 2023.

"Connecting" SDGs and life through knowledge

I participated in a seminar introducing SDGs for small and medium-sized enterprises!
Last time, we played the SDGs card game, which was well received among our staff, and learned about the SDGs from Shimizu-san, Kanbe-san from the Gunma Resource Energy Circulation Promotion Association, and Tomitoko-san from Ankanminkan, a comedy duo based in Gunma.
The term SDGs is often used, but I think few people have a deep understanding of how it relates to them.
We believe that living things can "act" by "knowing," which leads to "ingenuity," "results," and "continuity."
This episode was exactly the one where I was able to confirm that content again.
We eat rice as a matter of course, but if you were to ask why we do so, I don't think there would be anyone who wouldn't know the answer.
And what kind of benefits does eating have for your body? I think most people also know about this.
Even if you don't know it, I think the behavior of "eating" continues naturally because everyone else is doing it.
So, what benefits will taking action to protect the environment bring to ourselves and future generations?
Conversely, what are the drawbacks of not taking action?
Why not start your own SDGs journey by first "knowing" them and then "feeling a sense of crisis" about what you don't know?
EIKOH SEISAKUSYO will proactively work towards the SDGs with a focus on "energy conservation" and "diversity management."
