We have been working with Tomioka High School since last year, and we have been providing them with guidance and support in energy conservation.
In order to further conserve energy and to continue the efforts, the initiative will be expanded from a "project" to a "committee" starting from the new fiscal year.
Together with the new principal, Mr. Sasaki, the administrative director, and Mr. Arai, we have been working with over 50 students on the familiar and practical task of reducing the school's electricity bill, to teach them the wonderfulness of coming together as one, problem-solving skills, the joy of taking on a challenge, and what it means to work hard. We hope to work together to create something that the students will think "I'm glad I did this!" and that will make them think in the future "That experience was useful!".
